I picked up an A6500 during COVID, along with a few Sigma lenses, and started shooting with friends. At first, it was just basic portraits - but I felt so much more promise in this camera. As an author, it was a fresh fulfillment to be able to bring someone else into my process, to collaborate with them as co-creators. And when I saw their joy at being captured in a cinematic style, I knew I'd found my medium.

perception

I've learned that a good photo can truly change the way people view themselves, turning an "Oh, I'm not comfortable on camera" to a "Is that really me?!" That's what I look for - the change in self-perception, the realization that you can speak to your audience through an image.

passion

That's what led me to fall in love with the process, with the development of a vision, with sets, lighting, colour schemes, editing, and delivery. My passion is in travel photography, portrait photography, and event photography - and bringing a certain taste of cinema to all of the above.
